The weaker climbers are prone to heat fainting during summer mountaineering activities because of their intense activity and excessive physical exertion, especially if they are unable to timely replenish the body’s lost water and salt. The main symptoms of thermal fainting are: Feeling exhausted but irritated, headache, dizziness, or nausea. It's pale and the skin feels cold and cold. Breathe fast and shallow, pulse fast and weak. May be accompanied by muscle twitching of the lower limbs and abdomen. Body temperature remained normal or decreased. In order to avoid the occurrence of heat fainting, some of the weaker climbers should pay special attention to activities that avoid excessive physical exertion, pay attention to the rhythm of rest and maintain physical strength during summer mountain climbing activities. Drink plenty of water or beverages that contain salt, even if the body loses electrolytes. In the event of heat fainting, the patient should be placed in the shade as soon as possible. If the patient is conscious, he should slowly drink cold water. If a patient sweats a lot, or has cramps, diarrhea, or vomiting, he should add salt to the water (one teaspoon per liter). If the patient has lost consciousness, he should lie down in his lying position, take full rest until the symptoms slow down, and then send it to the hospital for treatment.
