Somic's modular wrapping machine

Somic's modular WA 414-w/3 wrapper is suitable for packaging applications such as cartons, folding boxes and pallets. The machine adopts a universal design method with high adaptability and is mainly used for candy packaging of metal cans, pouches and the like.

All carton forming and packaging processes are done on one working platform, helping the entire operation and eliminating visual malfunctions. The four robot module components are mounted above the machine and stretch freely, reducing the footprint.

Manipulators can grab various shapes of packages. They have a variety of rotating and gripping methods that allow robots to move products accurately and lightly. The double servo system on the packet conveyor automatically adjusts the distance between the lugs, making it more suitable for production formats with fewer tools. This highly flexible baler is equipped with 14 servo axes, controlled by ELAU's PacDrive automation system, which performs all feeds, conversions and all functions of the robot. The packaging machines exhibited by SOMIC at Interpack 2005 can pack more than 500 candies per minute.

There is no need to lubricate or adjust the transmission chain in the production line. Instead, there are gear belts and powerful high-speed vacuum belts to transmit original packaging and packaging after filling. Previously, the pedal-operated conveyor chain system was also replaced by the quick-change chucking device currently installed in the trolley, so now the packer can complete multiple tasks at once.
