SMAG, a professional manufacturer of screen printing and finishing systems, signed a contract with HP Indigo to develop a combined digital screen printing press for short-run, high value-added cosmetics, wine and industrial label printing. This project combines the advantages of screen printing with special coatings and inks with the WS4050 digital press that has been developed. The new HP Indigo system can handle unsupported film substrates and traditional laminations. Based on SMAG's existing Galaxie roll-plating screen printing presses, this machine is suitable for applications requiring a high degree of chemical resistance or a layer of ink.
