High quality and stability will be the basic requirements for cigarette pack printing. Gravure printing has unparalleled advantages, and the more complete the integration, the more obvious the advantages of gravure printing. More than 90% of cigarette packs in the United States use gravure printing.

Web gravure is the preferred model, which has a higher efficiency than a sheet-fed press. It is more suitable than the sheet-fed printing press for process combination and wire processing (including gravure + offset printing combination). Therefore, a single sheet cigarette pack printer will exist for a long time. Other processes and models will be very complicated.

Environmental protection has become the most important issue

Anti-counterfeiting requirements have been continuously improved, but environmental protection is more important. The overall concept is: The entire life cycle of cigarette packets includes the entire process of production and use. Recyclable and degradable material processing will receive constant attention. Transfer paper is one of the current hotspots. Water-based ink will be the basic goal. Flexible packaging will certainly be more popular.

Electronic shaft drive has become a new technical platform for gravure web printing. It is one of the three key technologies of gravure printing presses (electronic shaft drive, printing car, sleeve impression cylinder).

Second, domestic related progress

As of July 2005, there were a total of 26 (sets) of electronic shaft drive gravure presses installed in China's mainland China for the installation of domestic electronic axis gravure printers, of which, 16 (sets) were imported, accounting for 61.5% of the total. ; Domestic equipment 10 sets (sets), accounting for 38.5% of the total. Among the 26 electronic axis gravure printing machines, there are 9 cigarette packet printers, of which 6 are imported and 3 are domestically produced.

We have 4 sets of wet stretch laminating machines of fixed length, of which 3 are imported, and all are connected with printing presses; 1 made in China is not connected to the printing press.

Domestic equipment competitiveness is reflected

The technology platform is the same as that of foreign countries, and the international procurement is implemented; the performance index is quite close to the imported equipment; more prominent price/performance ratio; better at targeted innovation; more convenient service.

Take cigarette pack gravure printing machine as an example. Previously all of them were imported equipment. Now more and more Chinese-made equipment has been used, especially the electronic axis gravure printing machine, which is rapidly realizing versatility, standardization, and serialization.

Take Songde as an example. In 2005, 2 sets had been delivered, and 4 sets (including 2 production lines with fixed-length stretch laminating machines) will be delivered this year.

Third, domestic cigarette package gravure printing solution

The most typical solution for gravure printing is:

Solution: Connect wet compound + transfer + multicolor printing + crosscutting (or other connection processing) (import).

Features: high technology, high quality and high price.

Applications: Premium cigarette packaging, toothpaste boxes, shopping bags, etc.

Unwinding + multi-color gravure + cross-cutting (+ winding);

Unwinding + multi-color gravure (+ winding) + connection (or disconnection) orchard die cutting;
