Recently, the staff of the Beijing Consumers Association randomly purchased 60 samples of solid wood flooring samples and solid wood composite flooring from the building materials market and building materials supermarkets in Beijing under the jurisdiction of consumers, involving Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Liaoning, 51 production (distribution) enterprises in 8 provinces and cities such as Guangdong and Jiangxi basically represent the main wood flooring brands sold in the Beijing market. According to the test results of the authoritative organization according to the national standards and the corresponding inspection methods, all the test items of 28 samples of 30 solid wood flooring samples meet the national standards, accounting for 93.3% of the total; 29 samples of 30 solid wood composite flooring samples are all The test items are in line with national standards, accounting for 96.7% of the total number of tests.

The Beijing Consumers Association reminds consumers that the following points should be noted when purchasing wooden flooring:

First, it is not appropriate to excessively pursue the preciousness of the tree species. The price of solid wood flooring varies greatly among different tree species. Consumers should decide which floor to buy based on their economic strength and their preference for color and texture, and choose the color of the floor to consider the coordination with the overall tone of the room.

Second, it is not appropriate to excessively pursue color difference and texture consistency. Solid wood flooring is a natural wood product. There is objectively uneven color and uneven pattern. This is the natural characteristics of wood and one of the important features of returning to nature.

Third, it is not advisable to blindly pursue the style and choose a floor that is too long and wide. Wood flooring is a natural material. Although it has been manually treated, it will expand and contract with the environment. The wider and longer the surface, the more problems will occur. Therefore, the floor should be short and narrow.

Fourth, according to the wooden floor comparison test results and reference to the residual stress, moisture content, hardness and other indicators of the wooden floor. According to relevant standards, the residual stress of wooden floor should not exceed 3.5%, and the moisture content should be between 8% and 13%. Consumers should consult the test report or on-site measurement when purchasing; the hardness of the floor, especially the solid wood composite floor, generally depends on the core layer. The material of the veneer is soft and hard, and consumers should try to choose the material of hardwood.

5. Pay attention to maintenance during the use of wooden floors. Do not soak the water, do not use the dripping mop to clean when cleaning; avoid sun exposure; avoid furniture or other heavy objects, hard objects scratch the floor; the room after the floor is laid out to open the window to open the door ventilation, regular cleaning and waxing.
